Fender / Jazzmaster / 1965 / Candy Apple Red / Guitar
Now available! A super vibey and great sounding Fender Jazzmaster from 1965 in its worn Candy Apple Red metallic finish over Firemist Gold.
Featuring tonnes of natural play wear and checking. This guitar retains most of its original parts with the original finish having no touchup or overspray.
Work to the guitar includes:
• The bridge pickup (8.8k ohms) has been rewound by JM Rolph to match the original neck pickup (8.5k). The leads have been replaced and the date was lost on the bridge pickup. There are notes as to pickup placement in the cavities dating back sometime.
• At some point a previous owner beveled the edges of the headstock due to finish flaking, this is subtle and doesnt affect the function whatsoever. There is an added string tree as well.
• The guitar was refretted with medium jumbo frets with some sanding to the fretboard at the time as pictured.
Otherwise this guitar retains original electronics with the volume/tone pots dating to the '17th week of '64, and '65. The original white ABS plastic pickguard has no cracks and the original witches knobs remain. The hardware is all original and correct right down to the strap buttons and pickguard screws.
A great playing custom colour jazzmaster with an easy playing slim C shape neck.
Weighs just under 3.7kg Comes in its original mid 60s black tolex case with original tremolo arm and bridge cover.
