Excellent condition, 8/10, Made in USA, weight 3,41 kg, including original Järna hardcase (supplied with all Scandinavian Fender instrument in the 1960s and 1970s) with blue interior (which we don´t see often, most are yellow), the body of the guitar has been refinished in the classic Custom Color fiesta red by Swedish guitar maker Göran Malmberg (famous for many things including the star-shaped guitar that ABBA-Björn used during the song Waterloo in the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest finals, Göran was asked to paint this guitar and signed it on the underside of the neck heel September 20th 1966 since he also refinished the neck and he has told us that he had a way of sliding the logo off with water and put it back on after finishing since there were no repro logos available in this era, because of this the logo has flaked off more than most but it is still partly there and it is the original logo over 1966 finish, we have found traces of Shoreline Gold in the neck pocket which is one of the rarest Custom Colors from this era, all original parts except for a new nut, slabboard with neck date 2APR62B, only the outputjack solder joints have been re-soldered, all other solder joints untouched, the neck has exceptionally flamed maple which we also don´t see often during these years.
