Fender / Stratocaster / 1964 / Sunburst / Guitar

Very Good condition, 7/10, Made in Fullerton, CA, USA, neck stamp 2DEC63B, including original Swedish Järna hardcase (with original ash tray bridge cover and back plate) which was supplied with all Fender instruments by the Swedish distributor Hagström in the 1960s, in the case is also the original receipt with a payment plan (very cool case candy!),  first a couple of issues with this guitar; 3 original black bottom pickups where the bridge pickup is 6,39kOhm and neck pickup is 6,28kOhm and the middle pickup has been rewound by pickup guru Johan Lundgren of Lundgren Pickups (https://lundgren.se/), 4 strange holes drilled in the top that we can´t explain but according to the family this comes from a removed sound processing unit (they said Floating Sound, but that's a Gretsch item, they must remember wrong..this keeps me awake at night..) and the output jack has been replaced with a stereo jack (probably for the same reason), the edge of the pickguard has a tiny burn mark from a soldering iron right next to the controls, traces of removed shielding tape in the cavities

This guitar comes from the family of the first owner who played in the Swedish popbands The Sametons, Bernes Orkester and N Lee Tennman and we have a great black and white picture from 1965 with The Sametons where he has the guitar across his shoulder like a real rockstar, spaghetti logo, , typical 1963 sunburst with strong red colors, original 3-way switch, all 3 pots are dated 3046403 (3rd week of 1964), original tone cap, original Kluson tuners and strap buttons, all original plastic (knobs, pickguard, trem tip)

In the store there is a constantly changing exhibition of stringed instruments from all ages and manufacturers, some call it a museum where everything is for sale.

The store is based on a vision that began full-time in 1997 and today, 25 years later, we are one of the the most famous vintage guitar shops in Northern Europe.
