Fender / Stratocaster / 1976 / Natural / Guitar For Sale
Just in on consignment, a great players grade mid 1970s Fender Stratocaster in its original worn natural finish over an ash body.
Work to the guitar includes:
- At one point the guitar was converted to have a 4-screw neck joint, this has since been reverted however the original serial #/neckplate is lost.
- Replaced tremolo block, pickguard, knobs, volume pot, (original in case) and 5-way switch.
- Tuners have been replaced with exact reproductions for improved stability (original tuners in the case). The neck date is no longer visible.
- The pickups date to '74 and have staggered pole pieces, whilst these pickups are period correct, the pots date to the 20th week of '76 meaning its likely they are from another guitar.
Other than mentioned all period correct parts are present, with the guitar dating to 1976 based off the pot codes. All of its original finish remains with no touchup or overspray, and it weighs just over 4.1kg.
The original frets are very worn, however the guitar still plays up and down the neck. A great feeling and sounding mid 70s strat with all the important parts to make a great player.
Comes with a period USA Fender hardcase with the original tuners and volume pot included.
