For sale is an incredibly rare and mostly all-original Fernandes Burny Custom FST-70BKS, made in Japan circa 1975–1977. This high-spec Strat-style model comes from the golden era of Japanese guitar building and represents one of the earliest examples of Fernandes’ pursuit of Fender-quality builds before the Burny brand split exclusively to LP-style guitars.
Finished in gloss black and featuring a one-piece maple neck, bullet truss rod, and 3-bolt micro-tilt neck plate, this guitar captures that 70s Stratocaster feel with Fernandes’ own voice and craftsmanship.
The ultra-rare “Burny Custom” headstock decal, Fernandes spaghetti logo, and original hard shell case with the iconic “Burny Bunny” decal make this a stand-out collector’s piece. The backplate is also adorned with a custom GORO “Swoosh” graphic, a nod to the Japanese youth culture magazine of the era.
