Gibson / ES-125 / 1956 / Guitar For Sale

This is a very nice original 1956 Gibson ES-125. These early electric guitars provided an entryway for guitarists to dive into the world of archtop guitars. This is a fat body archtop that sports only one pickup, Gibson’s famous P-90. The ES-125 was one of Gibson’s 1950s/60s student models – although really a very nice guitar indeed, having no fancy appointments, but being made from essentially the same materials, and using the same construction methods as all Gibson Arch tops of the period. Its sunburst finish is quite tidy in all respect. Its got a dot inlaid unbound rosewood neck. Its single black P-90 pickup is the most versitile pickup they made & has all tones covered from a mellow jazz to a bright crunchy rock tone. Its complete w/its tortoise’gard & its 2 all gold knobs to its nickel trapeze tailpiece. Its got a V code body date for 1956. Its got a set of Grover tuners. Its got a slight crackily area around its input jack that needs some attention & we can do that if the next owners wants it done. Its Excellent & comes in a nice period soft case.
