Now available, a 1964 Gibson ES335TDC in it's original cherry finish.
This original example of a 1964 Gibson ES335 had the same owner for most of its life in the UK being sold there new. The guitar is in the 5 digit serial number range, and features all of the same specifications as Eric Clapton's '64 ES335 including the medium chunky neck profile, and the desirable factory stop-tail piece (never had a Bigsby fitted).
Specifications include a double bound laminated maple body with maple/mahogany centre-block, a mahogany neck with Brazillian rosewood fingerboard, and block inlays. Both original early patent # pickups are unopened, and the original wiring harness remains untouched.
The only changes to this guitar are replacement bridge saddles (original nylon saddles are included). Otherwise the guitar retains all of its original plastics and hardware, including the nickel plated wired ABR-1 bridge and thumbwheels, aluminium stop-tail piece and studs, single line Kluson Deluxe tuners, screws, and strap buttons.
The guitar presents in overall great shape, with some play wear on the back of the neck, and significant play wear to the original frets however it still plays well up and down the neck.
