De Les Paul Deluxe werd door Gibson gemaakt van 1970 tot 1975, met gebruikmaking van de body en hals van onvoltooide, overgebleven, uit productie genomen Les Paul Goldtops die nog in de oude voorraad van de Gibson fabrieken lagen
In eerste instantie hadden de Deluxes mini-humbuckers in plaats van de P90 "soapbar" elementen van de Goldtops. Dit omdat deze dezelfde afmetingen hadden.
Later werden ze ook als optie aangeboden met full-size humbuckers, zoals ook dit exemplaar.
Dit is een Gibson Les Paul Deluxe met full size humbuckers uit 1974.
De potmeters zijn origineel en zijn van 1973 (serienummer 1377336)
Serienummer op de achterkant van de kop is 770230.
De kop is ooit gebroken geweest, maar dit is netjes gerepareerd. Daarna is de kop opnieuw gelakt.
De tobacco sunburst lak is in zeer goede staat.
De frets zijn in gebruikte staat
De gitaar speelt lekker en klinkt fantastisch.
