Die Gibson Les Paul Firebrand gab es ab 1979 in zwei Ausführungen. Einmal als Standard mit Walnuss-Body und als Deluxe mit dem beliebteren Mahagonie-Body. Diese Firebrands entwickeln sich langsam zu echten Sammlerstücken, vor allem, wenn sie sich in einem soch hervorragendem Zustand befinden, wie diese.
Man mag kaum glauben, das diese Les Paul schon 33 Jahre alt ist. Bis auf einige kleinere Blessuren an den Zargen sowie leichten Plektronspuren präsentiert sie sich in einem sehr guten Zustand. Keine Gürtelschnallenkratzer auf der Rückseite, keine größeren Macken uns erst recht keine Brüche oder Modifikationen. Auch die Bünde zeigen keinerlei Gebrauchsspuren. Eine Firebrand in diesem Zustand muss man erstmal finden.
Ausgestattet ist die Les Paul natürlich mit den originalen Pat-No. T-Top-Humbuckern, die in Verbindung mit dem Ebony-Fretboard und dem Mahagoni-Body einen druckvollen Les Paul-Sound abliefern.
Im Lieferumfang ist der originale Gibson Protector Case enthalten. Auch dieser ist in bemerkenswert gutem Zustand.
