Gibson / Les Paul Standard Flametop Reissue / 1989 / Heritage Cherry Sunburst / Guitar

1989 Gibson Les Paul Standard Flametop Reissue, heritage cherry sunburst. Made in USA, serial number 90007. This guitar is all original except for a 1980s Seymour Duncan NJ '59 neck pickup and an older Gibson patent no. stamped bridge pickup (the covers of the original Bill Lawrence designed humbucker were reused apparently, one pickup ring may have been changed as well), 50s wiring and an aluminum tailpiece.

It has the most stunning flametop and color we've seen on a Les Paul in a long time - it's just incredibly luscious. The rest of the guitar is as good as it looks.

The actual model of the guitar leaves us guessing as it features both 'Standard' (Nashville brigde, logo, cutaway binding) and 'Reissue' (serial number, color, flametop, no pickguard ever installed) specs. One-off? Custom order? Limited edition? Employee guitar? Either way, it's a very special guitar and it comes with the original Gibson brown tolex hardshell case. Weighs 4.4kg.
