Gibson / Les Paul Standard Historic Reissue Ice Tea Burst 2011 / 1958 / Guitar

A truly gorgeous Ice Tea Gibson Les Paul 1958 Reissue (R8) Plain top from 2011. This guitar takes you back to the McCarty-era Gibson Les Paul. After its introduction Gibson updated the Les Paul with some innovations we now take for granted. First of all two Humbuckers, a stop tailpiece and ABR-1 bridge and the sunburst finish. This finish showed the grain of the maple tops Gibson started to use which gave an exclusive look. In 1959 they used highly figured flamed maple exclusively, but in 1958 the majority was made with what we now consider plain tops. Although the sunburst finish was the only option back then, Gibson now reissues these guitars in a variety of colors based on the way these famous burst faded over the years. Ice Tea is one of these colors and it’s drop dead gorgeous if you ask me. This guitar sounds and plays even more amazing than it looks. Although a '58 generally has a plain top, the top of this R8 is quite flamey. This Les Paul is chambered which makes it very comfortable. Add a pair of superbly accurate BurstBucker pickups, that are replicas of original PAFs, and that legendary Burst tone is all there. You simply can't get closer to the real thing. than the real thing. This Les Paul R8 is in excellent condition with Small dings and blemishes in the top, the sides are very clean and the back has traces of use including a light rash and several dings. The frets are almost as new and the playability is great. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
