Gibson / Les Paul Std. '55 Conversion / 1952 / Gold Top Finish / Guitar

This is one of those Les Paul Standards that all of you guys hated back then but will luv this rare bird. Its original Gold Top & clear coat finish was restored & has aged when she was turned into a ’55 type w/its trapeze tailpiece removed & a Tun-a-matic bridge & Stop Tailpiece was added. Its a very early example w/no serial # as usual. Its original white bound trapezoid inlaid Rosewood fingerboard is over a a fat 1 piece Mahogany neck. Its had its neck reset to 1955-7 specs to play perfectly. Its loaded w/2 original factory P-90’s w/tons of tone. Its got a pair of cool later 50’s bumble bee caps too. It’s original Kluson single line single ring tuners are still on board along w/its Cream pickgard & gold barrel knobs. This is a great guitar for that guy that wants to enjoy it for the next 20 years ! Other than some basic wear & some nice weather checking, she’s really pretty nice shape w/killer sustain & tone qualities. She’s just 8 lbs. 6 oz. & excellent overall & comes w/a newer black case.
