Gretsch / Country Gentleman / 1967 / Brown / Guitar For Sale
Now available on consignment, a 1967 Gretsch 6122 Chet Atkins Country Gentleman.
This particular example is in fair condition, having been well played with plenty of play wear on the neck and body.
As is typical on this era Gretsch, the body and neck have been rebound at some point due to binding rot. A medium jumbo re-fret was performed probably around the same time with a new nut installed, these frets show little signs of play wear. At the time the neck was rebound there was some light overspray on the sides over the original finish, otherwise the guitar has no other repairs.
Features include two great sounding Filtertron humbucking pickups, a laminate maple body, maple neck, ebony fingerboard, Grover Imperial tuners, and a Bigsby vibrato. This year features the double cut body shape with painted f-holes. Other than the frets and nut, the only replaced part is the bridge base (original bridge saddle).
A great sounding example of a Gretsch Country Gentleman
Includes a later Gretsch hardcase in good condition.
