Harmony / 1950 Cremona II / 1950 / Guitar

Good condition, 6,5/10, Made in USA, v-profile in the neck, 2 replaced tuners, straight neck, good action, f-holes, original bridge, binding and small dots on the rosewood fingerboard, someone has drilled a hole through the headstock, probably to hang the guitar on the wall, Reverb user Nick gave us this info on the guitar (thanks for this Nick!): The Made In USA sticker on the back of the headstock denotes an instrument sold in the UK in the mid to late 1930s before WW2 killed off the exports. Those Waverly Tune Rite tuners with the metal buttons with seven sides were used by Harmony in the very late 1930s, and the buttons crumble- which is why they get replaced. I think the Cremona II was launched in 1938 or 1939, so I would assume your guitar was made in the very late 1930s and exported to the UK before the war intervened. There may be a Harmony date stamp inside the guitar but they are not always present. Harmony did a deal with Kluson in 1940 and used their tuners for quite a few years after that date and this also shows the guitar is pre-WW2.
