This is a rare & quite user friendly c.1995 Jerry Jones Electric Sitar. Its Black Crinkle finish is a duplicate of its original 60’s Red finish made w/the same process. Its a full size guitar w/3 potent “Lipstick” pickups that sound excellent. Jerry stated the Coral Sitar was such a defining sound of the 60s and with our refinements you will feel like you have returned to those days. Our precision made sitar Buzz bridge produces that now familiar whirring sound and provides for accurate string intonation. The 13 sympathetic strings can be tuned in a variety of ways and can be played as accompaniment. Sizzling tone great for stage or studio. The Coral Electric Sitar was original invented by Vincent Bell a studio guitarist that worked with Danelectro in the 1960s. Jerry Jones started building custom guitars in ’81 in Nashville, Tn. We were a dealer for these for many years until Jerry retired in 2011. Other than missing its original clear pickgards, but overall its excellent & comes it its original hard case.
