Merrill / Jim C18 Dreadnought Adirondack Honduras Mahogany / 2010 / Guitar

Jim Merrill is a legendary guitar maker although not many have heard of him, but in terms of sheer build quality he certainly ranks up there with the best of them. People who can afford a Merrill often owned or own a Franklin, Blazer & Henkes or- Wayne Henderson as well, you probably understand what I mean. These are certainly above-average instruments and each and every one that came by our shop made a lasting impression. Jim makes great amazing instruments primarily based on original 1930s flattops. This 2001 C-18 is a brilliant guitar that stands out, it feels vintage, warm, full and impressive all the way. She has that perfect balance, powerful range of tones we all dream to find in a guitar. In addition, the guitar is extremely resonant and complex with depth, harmonics and complexity, endless sustain and virtually infinite headroom, a powerful explosion of sound when you hit it hard. So let's talk specs: the body of the guitar has been crafted using Honduras Mahogany married to an Adirondack spruce top, both the back and top have been adorned with tortoise bindings matching the tortoise scratchplate. The neck is a very comfortable and sturdy soft V shaped 14-fret mahogany neck fitted with an ebony fretboard holding abalone dot position markers. The open geared Gotoh tuners, beautiful rosewood headstock overlay and ebony bridge with long saddle complete the vintage styling. Condition of this pre-loved instrument is Very Good with several dings, some playwear and signs of use in the finish plus the addition of newer frets. Included with this incredible instrument is it's original hardshell case. Consignment. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
