I know, I know- many guys and gals in the PRS clan want 'em all dead mint and unplayed. Untouched by human hands, I say, but every once in a while, we get a really smokin' axe in the shop that has been played. It's these guitars that, while they may have a few battle scars, they have spent their lives on countless stages playing countless songs. Ultimately we have to ask ourselves; Isn't that what they were built to do?
I no longer turn up my nose at a PRS guitar with some light belt scratching on the back or some pick swirling on the front. Nope- it's these very guitars I seek out because, while they may not be ensconced in a glass case over an executive's desk, they may go to a beginning guitar player and set him free. If a youngster can jump from a Chinese Strat to this guitar, there's no telling how far he can fly. Although she ain't perfect, with the aforementioned imperfections, she's clean, set up for optimum playability and will arrive ready to be of service without a fuss.
