Rickenbacker / 700/12S Shasta 12 String / 1999 / Guitar

At The Fellowship of Acoustics we certainly cannot complain about the range of beautiful and rare guitars on offer. However, Rickenbacker is one of the brands that we don't often see, so that in itself is a special event. If the Rickenbacker is also an acoustic model, the enthusiasm really increases; This is a special guitar, and it shows in everything! Rickenbacker built his first guitars almost a century ago, and is best known for the electric models with their dazzling and distinctive designs. However, the brand also built acoustic models, but these were only produced in small quantities from the 1950s through the mid-1990s. In 1995, the initiative was taken to revive the production of acoustic guitars, which started a year later at the factory in Santa Ana, California. Four models were released in this 700 series, of which the Shasta is a Jumbo with rosewood back and sides and spruce top. The guitars had subtle design references to their predecessors from the 1950s and 1960s, but featured technological improvements in the areas of sound, finish and playability. The five-piece neck is shaped in such a way that electric guitarists feel right at home, and is equipped with an asymmetrical heel so that even the higher positions can be reached comfortably. The Rickenbacker 700/12S Shasta was built in August 1999 and is in excellent condition. The guitar is very clean, but has minor playwear on the top and the back of the body. There are also some small spots in the paint along the binding on the back of the body, and a crack has been repaired on the top. The guitar comes with TFOA passport in a hardshell case. Consignment. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
