1969 Gibson EB-3 Cherry red, Excellent, Original Hard Case

Description:

1969 Gibson EB-3 is in excellent condition and perfect playing order. 1-piece Mahogany body with a 1-piece set Mahogany neck. Those 2 features give this bass its strong resonance and brilliant sustain. The 21 fret Rosewood fingerboard has no divots. Equipped with 2 humbucking pickups, a larger neck pickups and a smaller bridge pickup. A varitone switch offers 4 distinct tones; tone choked neck pickup, the individual pickups, and the 2 combined. The shorter scale length, 30 1/2", makes this bass a breeze to play. Especially when it weighs only 8 lbs 2 ounces.

The frets are in excellent condition with very little playing wear. On the back of the neck, behind the 10th fret, there's a spot a little smaller than a thumb print that is worn through the finish. The back of the body has some finish wear. There's a little bit of lacquer checking around the controls.

The original thumb rest was moved from the treble side to the bass side.

Other than the upper thumb rest, this beautiful bass is all orignal. Including the bridge cover, tuning keys, string mute, pickups, and electronics. Even comes with the original hard shell case.
