Galaxis guitar was made since 1980 at Krnov, Czechoslovakia. In the beginning only a black finish was avaliable, and red guitars were produced somewhere after 1982. Galaxis was the first Jolana guitar that was avaliable also in a left-handed version. Galaxis became a very popular instrument and was manufactured in several modifications. Earliest Galaxises feature a rotary pickup selector switch that was later replaced by three-position toggle switch. Later Galaxises feature metallic paint.
