Sanden Guitars / VRB-C-TT (In Stock) / 2010's / Guitar

The Sanden Guitars VRBc-TT Vintage Round Bell Cutaway. The well balanced, rounded sound and size make this guitar very versatile. Sanden Guitars are all hand-made in Sweden by Master Luthier Michael Sanden. All Sanden Guitars guitars are built with the highest quality wood and materials available. The VRBc-TT features a sitka spruce top with East-Indian rosewood back and sides. The neck is laminated mahogany with an ebony fingerboard and the beautiful rosette is made from herringbone and abalone layered together. All Sanden Guitars feature a zero fret for optimal balance and intonation. The machine heads are Schertler chrome with ebony buttons. The VRB also comes with an on-board B-Band pickup and long-life power supply. Also featured on the VRBc-TT is the True Temperament Fretting System, a patented design unique to Sanden acoustic guitars. It is well known that the traditional fretting method used on stringed instruments is a compromise - a guitar can never be totally in tune. The True Temperament method of fretting solves this problem, reducing inter modulation between notes that ensures accurate intonation across the fretboard. Making chords ring out with a sweetness unachievable on a normal fretted guitar. Sanden Guitars spend a great deal of time and effort in making their instruments well-balanced and keeping the craftsmanship at the highest possible level. The hand-made nature of these guitar mean they are only available in small numbers each year. This, and the impeccable quality, craftsmanship and love that goes into each guitar, makes them a truly exquisite instrument to own

The best material is needed to build an instrument that is pleasing to the ear, the eyes and the heart.

Slow growing wood that has been cut and dried properly is a basic requirement. Therefore, we personally choose and purchase the material each year from Germany, the United States, England and India.

Michael has learned this from the two masters he studied with, Bozo Padunavac in San Diego in 1982, where he learned to build steel-string guitars and mandolins, and then with Georg Bolin between 1984-1986, where he learned to build classical guitars.

In 1986 Michael received his Journeyman’s Certificate as a qualified builder and in 1996 he got his Master’s Certificate in guitar craftmanship. Sanden Guitars has been a member of the "Guild of American Luthiers" since 1983 and has participated in several conventions over the years.

Since 2010, Sanden Guitars is situated in Gothenburg Sweden.

Michael and Kari together owns and runs Sanden guitars. Right now Michael is doing all the building and Kari helps out where it is needed. Together they do their utmost to take care of you so that you are going to feel safe with your Sanden guitar.
