Fender / Esquire Telecaster Sunburst / 1967 / Guitar

Fender Esquire made in 1967 with a 3-tone sunburst Refin. Original bridge pickup, added neck pickup, '67 neck date, '66 pot dates, all original hardware. The first run of Esquire first appeared a Fender catalog in the spring of 1950, it remained in production until it was dropped from the production line by CBS in late 1969. The Esquire was an important step in Leo Fenders efforts to transport steel guitar tone to the electric realm. That is why bridge pickup used for the Esquire was very similar to the pickup he developed and built for his lap steel guitar. The Esquire also already featured the volume, tone, 3-way switch configuration later found in the Telecaster. In position 1 the single pickup was routed only through the volume pot, in the middle position it also included the tone pot, and in the third position the tone pot was once again excluded but a fixed “treble roll-off ” capacitor/resistor was included for a darker tone. This specific 1967 Esquire once received a Daphne Blue refinish which we did not like. We had it refinished again in 3-tone sunburst relic. Also newer frets and a neck pickup were added. A fantastic, fast playing narrow maple neck (41mm - 1 5/8") makes this a true joy to play. For more information regarding originality/condition please contact us. The guitar travels in it's original hardshell case.   Model Features: Shape: Telecaster Body: Elzen Finish: 3-tone sunburst refin Neck: Esdoorn Neck Shape: C Fretboard: Palissander Fretboard radius: 7,25" Bridge: 3-saddle Scale Length: 648mm (25 1/2") Nutwidth: 41mm (1 5/8") Weight: 3.62kg Tuners: Fender Pickups: Origineel brdige pickup, newer neck pickup

ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
