Fender / Telecaster / 1958 / Blonde / Guitar

Now available is this lightweight and great sounding mid 1958 Fender Telecaster in its  original white-blonde finish with a strung-through 1-piece ash body.

This example has been cared for in Australia by its previous owner for the last 4 decades, having been imported and purchased in Sydney in the mid 1980s.

This guitar though showing some play wear, remains in nearly untouched original condition retaining all of its original parts with except of a pro conversion to modern wiring (reversible).

Both the body and neck (dated 7/58) have untouched original finish, with all nail holes showing. There is some wear to the original finish, and the typical crazing for 1958 on the neck.

All of the plastics and hardware remain original, as well as the electronics. The tone and volume 250k stackpole pots work perfectly both dating to the 47th week of 1957. Both original black bottom pickups are untouched and original reading at 5.3k ohms in the neck and 6.5k in the bridge. They both sound balanced in the guitar with the wiring meaning both pickups can be played together as well.

The original frets are low, particularly in frets 1-5 on the higher strings, however the guitar still plays up and down the neck.

Weighs 3.3kgs.

A fantastic looking, feeling, and sounding late 50s Fender Telecaster. Comes with its original knuckle-buster tweed case and original bridge cover.
