This is an early model J-45, probably made in 1944 from the FACTORY ORDER NUMBER. And this one has a rare mahogany top, mahogany sides & back, mahogany neck, and hacaranda fingerboard and bridge. It also has an adjustable truss rod.

In addition to the eye-catching "ONLY A GIBSON IS GOOD ENOUGH" banner logo on the head, the guitar also features a pre-war script "Gibson" logo, 17° head angle, 45mm wide neck, 19-fret specification, 7-ply single ring, teardrop-shaped pickguard (small guard), and a small guard. It also features a small guard, a rectangular bridge, and open-back triple Kluson pegs.

The round and warm mid and high tones typical of mahogany are combined with the fat bass produced by the extra thick neck, a characteristic of these days, to produce a dead yet powerful sound. The scalloped X-bracing makes it responsive to changes in picking nuances.

This guitar is also a great choice for those who love vintage guitars, as it is almost 80 years old. The guitar is in good condition considering its age, although there are some repairs and weather checks all over the body and neck.
