J-160E in the first year of Reisha, approaching the original.
Gibson / 1996 1964 J-160E
When I heard the 1964 J-160E, it was a very famous guitar for the use of John Lennon. Currently, the original is a very valuable model with a premium price among the Gibson flat top in the 1960s.
This time, the 1996 reissue model was arrived.
The J-160E revived around 1990 with the relocation of the Montana factory, but until 1995, the body top was solid, X-bracing, etc.
In 1996, the specifications were changed to body top laminates/ladder bracing/adjustable bridges, more close to the original in 1964.
The one that arrived this time was the first year of the specification change, and the body side and the top are laminated, and the body back is solid, so it has a solid sound and deep bass.
Even if you play like cutting, the sound will not collapse and it will not be disrupted, so if you want to play with Akogi, it is an individual that you want to pick up.
When I chose 0.60mm, I thought it would fit this individual.
The frets are adjusted to the original, and the fret height is considerably higher than the original.
The pegs have been replaced with a goto -style Crewson -style one bump.
The saddle is also replaced with a wooden frame with a resin saddle attached.
Damage such as painting cracks is scattered, but the condition of the neck, electrical and kibe is inspected and adjusted by acoustic guitar professionals and all parts are in good condition.
In addition, the neck is adjusted straight and has no vibration or clogged sound, and the string height on the 12th fret is set to an optimal state of 2.5 mm on the 6th string side and about 2.0 mm on the first string side.
I think this individual is an instrument that conveys the charm only if you play it.
At present, the J-160E is rarely shown as a new product, so it is a looks and sound that rarely meets.
