Gibson / Gibson Ca. 1941 SJ-100 / 1941 / Guitar

The SJ-100 was created around 1939 as a subordinate model of Gibson's flagship model of the time, the SJ-200, and was produced until 1942. it is the same size as the SJ-200, but has simpler decorations such as fretboard inlays, pickguard, and bridge. Gibson script logo, spruce top, mahogany sides and back, curly maple neck with ebony fingerboard. Dotted positions, white binding, round fingerboard ends. Fire-striped pickguard, ebony openwork mustachioed bridge with adjustable saddles for each string, and shield-back Kluson tuners.

Initially, it had a stair-stepped head and the aforementioned Mustachian bridge, but after about '41, it was replaced with a normal tapered head and a three-pointed beveled bridge (bad wing). This model is probably a transitional model. This model has a tapered head with a Mustachian bridge, which is probably a transitional model. These heads and bridges can also be seen on the J-55 (Jumbo 55) of the same era.

This model is made of spruce and mahogany, and the thick binding on the body gives it a fearless image. The thick binding on the body gives it a fearless image, and the wood mosaic pattern on the center stripe on the back gives each piece a good old-fashioned atmosphere.

It is a mahogany model with a loud and powerful sound. The sound is also very clear, and even though it is a pre-war model, it is still very much in service. The deep sound will make you want to play it forever and ever. It is a very rare item that rarely appears on the market, please have a great time with this guitar.
