Gibson / J45 Faded Cherry Sunburst / 1967 / Guitar

Introduced in 1942 as a replacement for the J-35, the J-45 has since become one of Gibson's most popular acoustic flattops. Earning a reputation as a "workhorse" guitar, the J-45 was embraced for its no-frills attitude and big, strong tone. Several variations of the J-45 have been released over the years including its natural-finish counterpart, the J-50. This specific 1967 J-45 ADJ though has a faded to This makes the guitar sound much better, and hence it comes with a magnificent dry and warm voice to accompany your own voice optima forma ! Both acoustic- but also amplified through the built in K&K pure mini pickup it sound amazing. Very good condition. The guitar already has had a Neck reset and a refret, has excellent playability, the neck finish has been removed from the nut to the 11th fret to improve fast play, the tuners have are period correct replica tuners. The sunburst finish has been beautifully faded to a honey like color, the tuners are changed and the guitar comes with a period correct yellow lined case. I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
