Gibson / SJ / 1963 / Sunburst Finish / Guitar

This rare guitar is a 1963 Gibson SJ one of Gibson’s top line models.  Its original dark sunburst finished spruce top is lovely w/a deep red stained very attractive mahogany back, sides & neck. Its wide 1 11/16″ 1 piece mahogany neck has a nice bound rosewood fingerboard w/double parallelograms is straight as an arrow w/very little fret wear. Its got tons of B & W bindings on every edge. Its original tuners have been replaced w/a set of cool gold open back 50’s Grovers utilizing the same holes if one wanted to put back its Klusons. Its cool pointy tortoise’gard & factory bridge are perfectly user friendly. Other than 1 pickgard crack next to the right side of the neck, its completely crack free w/some play time & weather checking here & there. It’s a pretty clean all original example ready for its next caretaker. It comes in its original black/red lined soft case.
