This is a really nice and rare to see item, especially in over here in the UK - This has been my own personal small bodied Martin for the last 12 years and it plays, feels and sounds GREAT - that’s why I have kept it so long. It is a LOVELY original 1949 Martin 00-18 acoustic guitar it is a superb sounding guitar and what’s more, as far as I can tell, it is 100% original and largely crack free!
There is just one old crack on the top as you can see in the photos, it has been looked at and it is NOT structural and it is deemed not worthy of attention being old and very stable. Aside from that, there are the usual playing and pick marks here and there (see pictures).
It really is a beautiful sounding small body Martin and has the classic Martin sweet sound together with a lovely soft V shape neck that is so comfortable. Action is good and perfectly playable with still a small amount of room on the saddle to make it lower. It does not in my opinion need a neck reset.
Included is a Martin hard case from the 90’s which protects the guitar very well. I will miss this one too...
