A 1960 Fender Jazzmaster “Original Black Finish with Time Capsule Condition” has just arrived.

We are excited to present what can only be described as a miraculous find: a 1960 Jazzmaster preserved in such extraordinary condition that it almost appears as if it has time-traveled directly from 1960. Its condition is so clean that it could almost be described as “new.”
Even more remarkable is the finish. This guitar is finished in opaque black, an exceptionally rare custom color during the slab-fingerboard era. Custom colors were already uncommon at this time, and black is among the rarest finishes seen on early Jazzmasters.
The guitar shows almost no greening or weather checking, and even the clear topcoat on the headstock and body shows very little yellowing. Most impressively, the plastic parts have remained bright white, something almost never seen on instruments of this age.
The instrument is completely original and untouched, making it a true time-capsule example.
Not only is the guitar itself in remarkable condition, but the original brown Tolex hard case is also exceptionally clean. In addition, the guitar still includes a full set of case candy, such as:

All of these items remain in beautiful condition.
In every sense, this is a dead-mint, collector-grade instrument.
Considering the relatively limited production numbers of Jazzmasters in 1960, and the additional rarity of a custom-color example, it is extremely unlikely that another guitar like this will appear again.
