Fender / Princeton / 1965 / Black Panel / Amp For Sale

1965 Fender Princeton, Black Panel. A clean example from Fender's black panel era, this is the 5-knob model featuring Volume, Treble, Bass, Speed and Intensity for the tremolo. Powered by a pair of 6V6GT output valves, 12AX7 preamp valves and a GZ34 rectifier, it delivers around 12 watts of shimmering Fender clean tone with plenty of natural breakup when pushed.

The low end is prominent and warm, the mids are sweet and the highs are well balanced and fat. The onboard tremolo is excellent, with a rich and pulsing depth that has made these amps a studio favourite for decades. This one retains its original Oxford 10" speaker, which pairs beautifully with the circuit for articulate and well-balanced projection.

Overall very clean, this is a great example and a classic choice for players and collectors alike.
