This is a STUNNING 100% original and totally NEAR MINT 1980 (1st year) Fender Gold on Gold Dan Smith Stratocaster which has a period correct Fender moulded Stratocaster hard case.
This guitar is 100% original and THE BEST ONE I have ever seen. Period!
As you are probably aware the finish and gold plating on these rare guitars do not wear very well and over the years they fade, corrode and get dings everywhere. Some of them look really ugly and I think that is what puts collectors off what is a beautiful and very fine guitar. This one is all different, it is without a doubt, the finest example I have ever come across and there cannot be many in this condition left in the world...
Everything is 100% original and I do not think a screw has ever been turned on this amazing guitar. I am not going to take it apart because I do not think it has ever been apart but I will 100% guarantee with a full money back refund that everything inside is totally original.
Case is in excellent condition too and is the correct Strat case for this era.
There are just a few minor dings, the worst I have photographed on the bottom side and may even be polished off? That is it - just have a look at the amazing condition in the photos. Even the gold plating almost looks as new however the back of the tuners do have a small amout of corrosion, not too bad though.
It sounds good, plays well on the orignal frets that has zero wear and zero fingerboard wear and even the neck is totally unfaded, still looking almost as new. You will not find another!
