Killer, Maple cap, blonde, late '60 Tele with tons of vibe, weighing in at an impressively light 3.06kg!
Besides a refinished neck/fingerboard, a refret and changed nut it's all original and a joy to play. The neck has a nice sating feel and the medium C profile is comfortable in the hand. It has that classic, snappy response that pairs perfectly with the guitar's lively acoustic character.
Electronics are correct, the original pickups delivering all the bright, percussive attack and midrange punch you'd want - twangy and articulate, with the neck pickup giving you a sumptuous warmth and bell like tones. All dates line up - '66 Stackpole pots'68 serial number and Sept '68 neck stamp. Solder appears all correct and untampered.
Chrome hardware is all present and correct with the F-stamped tuners, single string tree, pat no. bridge with steel saddled. Cosmetically, it wears its age very well with some attractive yellowing to the blonde finish and some nice wide checking typically seen in this era.
Complete with its original Fender hard case, this is a very nice, lightweight, players' example!
