FHD now offers a range of handcrafted solid timber steam bent snare drums. As with the staves, these are high end snare drums of exceptional quality.
Each drum is unique and genuinely handcrafted from start to finish. The shell consists of a single solid piece of prime hand selected Blackwood* steam bent and closed with a single join.
The shell is hand lathed to 6mm, without reinforcement rings, and features slightly rounded double 45% bearing edges.
We have kept the same outstanding fittings and parts we use on the staves.
FHD steam bent snares carry the Fidock signature sound: warm and musical with controlled overtones and plenty of volume and attack.
Snare drums are available in 5”x14” and 6.5” x14” with matching wood hoops or triple flange steel.
