Gibson / Custom Shop Les Paul Special / 2017 / TV Yellow / Guitar For Sale

Another killer example of Gibson’s more recent output, this Les Paul Special Reissue from 2017 is in as new condition with all the documentation, having been nearly played.

The eagle-eyed amongst you and those in the know will have already clocked that the serial number has an erroneous 0 at the beginning. When the model was introduced in 1997 it was referred to as a 1960 reissue, an error that they they kept until 2019 after which they changed it to a 1957. This guitar is from 2017 and therefore carries a leading 0 in its serial number.

Here is what Gibson have to say about it -

Legend has it that the famous “TV Yellow” color of the Les Paul Special was named for its vivid appearance on black & white televisions in the 1950s. That’s debatable. What’s not up for debate is the indelible imprint this model had on music history since its inception. The classy looks and thick, meaty tones of the Les Paul Special have been preferred by players of all genres. And this 1957 Les Paul Special Reissue from Custom Shop revives every single feature in spectacular detail for the ultimate vintage ownership experience – from the solid mahogany construction to the roaring P90s.
