Gibson / ES-175 D / 1959 / Sunburst / Guitar

Here's a rarity - a 1959 Gibson ES-175D that hasn't been tomb raided by the PAF monkeys...

In fact there is little at all that has been changed on this great player, the only thing I can see is the truss rod cover which is a bit strange. Yes, it does have the PAF's  - the bridge one has had the cover off then back on again but has original windings and the neck one, which is totally unmolested is a zebra coil PAF!

The whole guitar has had a thin clear coat overspray a long time ago, in fact so long ago that under the black light it glows like original.

Neck is the typical medium chunky 1959 neck feel that you all know and love. No skinniness here. There has been an extra strap button added to the side which has been filled (see picture). It also looks like the original bridge was tacked down to stop it moving at one stage as there are two tiny pin holes on either side. Frets play well with a low action and fingerboard has little wear.

Original hardware (TRC excepted), knobs, pots etc and a Gibson brown and pink 4 latch case round this little package off nicely.

A good guitar and at least the PAF's didn't come out on my watch!
