This is something you really do not come across every day… This is a STUNNING and UNPLAYED 1996 Gibson L-5 Wes Montgomery model with original case, tags, inspection card etc and includes the original, large 90’s brown Gibson case.
Yes, this is totally unbeleivable but it is part of an entire collection of high end jazz guitars that we have just bought from a collector in mainland Europe who purchased them all during the late 90’s and NEVER PLAYED THEM!! They are true, closet classics in near MINT condition (just a few handiling marks) and have already got 16+ vintage years on them.
This has spent it’s entire time since it was bought new in 1996, inside it’s case so there is NO fading and NO wall hanger or stand marks. The only marks I can see is a bit of tarnishing on the gold plated tailpiece end where it rested in the case and where it has been picked up occasionally to drool over. Please have a look at the many pictures.
The woodwork is perfect, ther are no dings, dongs or worming or anything else anywhere on it at all. It really does look pretty much brand new - you just have to take a deep breath and gasp when you open the case...
It is impeccably set up, plays and sounds perfect. There is a good reason these cost so much and when you see these close up and personal you can clearly see why this is...
These amazing, hand built guitars have a suggested selling price in the UK of £8,500 and also have rather a long waiting time so at £4,995 or best offer I think it will be a very good deal for someone who wants and Wes Montgomery L-5 but cannot wait or stretch to the higher prices.
