Gibson / Les Paul Junior / 1960 / Cherry / Guitar
Have we ever said we love LP Juniors…? I think we have a few times but in case of any doubt, we’re saying it again!
This is a lovely, 1960 version of the double cut Les Paul Junior in gorgeous cherry red.
The slightly faded, all original finish looks the part without a doubt. It plays great on its factory wide frets and with that 8k plus vintage P-90 so dangerously close to the strings, you will never be short of raw power, which is why you there really isn't it. It's a superbly balanced guitar too, the correct single line Kluson tuners stop it from being head heavy, sitting pretty on a strap or knee.
This one is all correct with correct hardware and original electrics that have un-disturbed solder. The pickup has never been rewound and is the beating heart to these awesome guitars. Frets still have plenty of life and the fretboard is in great shape.
Finish is all original with no touch ups and is in very good condition. There is a selection of small dings and marks but that really is the worst of it! Not mint but we have seen a lot, lot worse. Needless to say there have been no breaks or repairs anywhere on this guitar.
In fact this is a real nice example which is totally original, just as you like them.
These guitars are just so much fun to play, if you haven’t experienced the joy of a Junior yet then what are you waiting for… you won’t regret it!
