Gibson / SG Standard / 1969 / Walnut / Guitar

Mega early (probably first couple of weeks) 1969 Gibson SG Standard with all the desirable 1968 specs such as the one piece neck with a more rounded, not so skinny, neck profile, no volute and in nice, played condition with it's original yellow lined hard case.

It is all original with the exception of the nut + bolt for the Maestro trem arm and the pickup covers have been off then back on again. They have not however been rewound and all solder is original and intact. That is it!

Rare to see these as original as this one is in and without any breaks or repairs. It's a good player too.

All hardware with the exception of the mentioned nut and bolt on the Maestro arm is original, as are the frets which are in very decent shape. Guitar has been played and there are dings in places but nothing serious and nothing structural anywhere. Neck joint is solid as is the headstock.

Both pickups are all original PAT number sticker pickups with the slotted screws which again indicate a 1968 construction and early 1969 birth or ship date.

It plays real well on this nice feeling profile, classic SG neck that so many people love. It has a fast, low action and like all SG's has excellent access to them all!

One of the nicest original SG Standards we have had for a while. So many have broken necks or headstocks, replaced pickups or stop tail mods so it is a breath of fresh air when something like this comes our way...
