Peavey / T-60 / 1980 / Red / Guitar For Sale
Like its four-string counterpart, the T-40, the mighty T-60 set the standard for rock guitar in the '70s and early '80s. With its thin, lightning-fast neck, it was the shredder's shredder before there were those great '80s shredders. It's a solid workhorse that has a long history of providing proven performances, time after time and with this particular guitar, it weighs in at an incredible 7 lbs, 12 oz. This was the first surprise we got when this guitar was discovered in the corner of the recent Dallas Guitar Show.
The second surprise we got was the condition. I can't tell you how many T model Peavey's we've seen with all sorts of heavy belt rash on the back. That's not the case with this guitar and it's surprisingly clean to be 45 years old. It's in excellent, original condition. All knobs and switches work and the frets have years of life left in them. There are a few light surface scratches on the body , but the color is pure and unfaded. The pickguard has a good amount of pick swirling, but it's there for exactly that reason- to protect the guitar. The case is clean, with all latches working and has been detailed as well.
It's a solid and affordable package- take a look at the pictures, let us know if you have any questions and as always, we thank you for stopping by!
