Hey gang, introducing our 2022 Series: Detroit I, II & III.
These are built in all-black Korina when available (which is almost always). Most builds will be non-chambered. The guitar shown here is the prototype.
Prototype build details:
• Brazilian rosewood fretboard (from a ’59 Les Paul Special, saved for years)
• Seymour “Vintage Blues” pickups
• This prototype is chambered (the body started out a bit heavy)
• Neck carve is a baseball bat, like the old V’s and Explorers
• Weight: 8.5 lbs
• Includes a custom-made case, made as a close “spittin’ image” of an original ’59 case
