Epiphone / FT-120 Excellente / 1965 / Guitar For Sale

Epiphone FT-120 Excellente (1965)

The Epiphone FT-120 Excellente is a true “holy grail” acoustic for players and collectors, and this one has definitely been around the horn. At some point a pickup was installed, and the jack and control-knob holes were repaired back in the day using the best methods available at the time.

The Excellente was among the most expensive Gibson-produced guitars when new in the 1960s, designed as an ornate Gibson/Epiphone take on Martin’s pre-war herringbone D-28 style. They’re extremely rare, with total production stated as only 139 made from 1963–1969 and this is a first for us.

Specs / features (as listed):
• Spruce top
• Rosewood back and sides
• Bound ebony fingerboard with cloud inlays
• Inlaid headstock
• Includes a hard-shell case

Condition / tone (as described):
While it may not be a “perfect specimen” cosmetically, it’s described as all original, in great vintage condition, and an exceptionally well-built, great-sounding guitar. Tonally it’s big, open, and powerful, with impressive dynamics, projection, and sustain.

NO RETURN POLICY (please read):
We have a strict no return policy. If you receive the item and it’s not as described, we will take that into consideration. If purchased on sale/discount, the item is considered sold as is and will not be considered for a return.

Thanks,
BH
