Fender / Stratocaster / 1966 / Lake Placid Blue / Guitar

If you desire to get into that, still fairly exclusive owners club, of 60's custom colour Strats then this indeed could be a good day for you...

A 60's custom colour Strat that is nearly all original, certainly all the important parts are, that will not break the bank is a fairly rare find. What's more, this is a superb lightweight Strat that plays like a demon with fairly new frets and sounds totally classic with the best sounds you can get from an original mid-late 60's Strat with original electrics...

All original finish in I think Lake Placid Blue - although possibly could be Ocean Turquoise? I think it is more then likely LPB that has typically greened which does tend to look more turquoise with age. No extra routing, no repairs just a fair few player dings caused by years of professional playing in smokey blues clubs.

All original electrics, all pots date to 1965, neck date is late 65, pickups date early '66. All three pickup are unmolested, original 3 way switch, cloth wiring etc.

All hardware and plastic is original with the exception of what appears to be one bridge saddle (these do wear sometimes) and the case is correct but slightly later (70's).

Weight is a stunning 3.35Kg, action is nice and fast, guitar will not disappoint and has mojo, vibe or whatever you prefer to call it, by the bucket load!
