Fender / Jaguar / 1962 / Olympic White / Guitar
GRAB YOUR BAGGIES, YOUR HUARACHES, WAX DOWN YOUR BOARD AND HIT THE SURF. YOU CAN'T GET MUCH CLOSER TO FULLERTON THAN THIS! From a large collection out of Chicago, we are pleased to offer this 1962 Fender Jaguar, serial# 91955, in Olympic White from their first year of production and One Owner. The body is a solid Alder offset body with Maple neck & veneered Rosewood fingerboard. The Fender Jaguar was introduced as a high-end model guitar four years after the Jazzmaster. Though similar to the Jazzmaster in its offset body and lead/rhythm circuits controls, the Jaguar differed in two key ways. For one, the Jaguar used a shorter 24-inch scale length compared to the 25 1/2-inch of most Fender guitars. Additionally, the Jaguar used two thinner single-coil pickups compared to the feedback-prone soapbox pickups of the Jazzmaster. Bolt-on neck, dot inlays, 2 single-coil pickups with notched side-plates, individual pickup selectors 24-inch scale length, treble and bass roll knobs, floating tremolo system, lead/rhythm circuit switch. The nut measures 1 11/16" with a fretboard radius of 9.5". The condition of this guitar is good for its age. You can see lacquer checking and superficial scratches, etc. The guitar weighs 8lbs. The guitar comes with its original Fender hardshell case.
