We are pleased to offer a 1963 Fender Jazzmaster finished in its original Lake Placid Blue custom color with matching headstock, a highly desirable configuration from the pre-CBS era.

This example features the classic spaghetti logo decal, correct for the period, and retains the distinctive aesthetic that makes early-1960s custom color Jazzmasters so collectible.

Lake Placid Blue was introduced as part of Fender’s custom color program in the early 1960s. While many examples from this period have faded or shifted toward green over time, this guitar retains a deep and vibrant blue finish, making it an especially attractive example.

The combination of the rich Lake Placid Blue finish with the original green pickguard creates the iconic look collectors seek from this era.

The guitar appears to be completely original with no modifications, and remarkably still includes its original hang tag. Overall condition is exceptionally clean for a vintage instrument of this age.

The neck has the fuller profile typical of 1963 Jazzmasters, offering a comfortable and substantial feel.

Tonally, the instrument delivers the unmistakable pre-CBS Jazzmaster sound, with rich low end, clear articulation, and the expressive character that has made these guitars favorites among players and collectors alike.

The guitar also includes its original white Tolex Fender hard case.
