1958 is an iconic year for the Gibson Les Paul: the debut of the legendary ‘Burst’, but also the final year of the single cutaway Les Paul Junior in sunburst.
This particular guitar is a rare short-scale Les Paul Junior from 1958. It shares the same body as the standard model, but with a shorter 22½-inch scale length. Apart from that, the two models are identical.
The guitar is completely original: from the pots and pickup to the tuners and pickguard. There are no cracks or overspray.
It’s highly resonant and sounds remarkably full and warm, with a nice bite. Definitely worth trying out in person!
The neck has a comfortable C-profile, and while it retains a classic 1950s feel, it's noticeably slimmer than the average ‘50s Gibson neck, ideal if you have slightly smaller hands.
The guitar comes in a sturdy brown case.
